I was actually impressed with the structure here. I expected way less. The airport isn’t very busy but it is clean and functional. There is an ATM machine (as at the time of this review). The VIP lounge is comfortable but no WiFi or refreshments available. Staff are neat and cautious and there are airport taxis on ground.

Just spacious enough for the volume of traffic in u0026 out of the airport.
Nice milieu.
Cabs are readily available for ride to various destinations.

Good alternative to Enugu airport. Decent and seems well maintained currently. Taxi services are well organised compared to other airports. Short waiting time for baggage delivery. Hope it hosts more "international" flights soon

Airport facilities are ok compared to other Nigerian domestic airports. Jets not allowed to fly to this airport due to inadequate landing guidance and safety equipment available. Only turboprops are operating. Many times flights are cancelled hence not reliable if you are planning to take another flight within short hours after departing from Asaba airport. Another important requirement is public rest room (Toilets)for men and women. People who come here to drop off or pick up have difficult time when they wait for long nature's call need to be answered.

It was my first time there and I really like the efficient services and the structural design. But the issue is only one airline seemed available for flights. The remaining airlines were not flying. People are limited to the available times the said airline is to fly. I think this should be worked on considering this is a major city in the south east.

For a state airport, it's got a big terminal. Asaba airport has become an important flying hub for people in northern Delta State, Anambra State, and environs. It played a major role for eastern travellers when Enugu airport was shut down for repairs. It's, at the moment, not a night-landing airport though, but from early morning to early evening, flights land in the airport. The airport is one of the few places you will see before entering Asaba city (if you are coming from Agbor) or before leaving Asaba (if you are coming from Onitsha).

The waiting area before checking-in was really hot. On the other hand something a bit awkward happened, about two of the guys with the reflective jacket on the tarmac were a bit too hostile as they yelled at me... “You can’t take videos of us while on duty or we would call security for you!!!” Which i gave a simple response “i am only taking pictures to create more traction for the airport on google maps”. The airport is still looking new though. ????????
