Used to be the State Specialists Hospital but has been upgraded to the Teaching Hospital for the Medical Varsity. This is the Akure Complex, being given a face lift by the State government presently. Service here seems to have improved from what it used to be then but there's still a lot of rooms for improvement. They've got competent hands here as there are Specialists in the various fields of Medical to attend to patients needs.

Awesome place with great facilities for sick people and had great resources for taking care of pregnant women as the doctors and nurses are always ready in taking care of emergency cases as they are never found wanting in duty posts .
While ages people are carefully taking care of by experienced staffs

This is a health institution owned by the Ondo State government. Surgeries, treatments, ante natal, pre-natal and post natal care are available. Laboratory test examination can be carried out here. They have various equipment and facilities, ambulance services are not in operation. There is morgue service here but they do not carry out burial services.

I can say the best in Akure when it comes to offering the best services in terms of health care services. It is well know to residence and indigenes of the city. They have well trained doctors, nurses and staffs all together.

It's a very nice hospital... The buildings are under reconstruction and real transformation now.... If its been long you've been there.. Trust me, you are going to be confused seeing it ????????????

Not necessarily cool. I say that with the deplorable state of the hospital not just in terms of technicality or facilities. I speak of the Nigerian factor.

Non-challant approach to treatment of patients by caregivers.
Inefficient health equipment and underutilisation of existing ones.
Ill-maintained building and insufficient structures.
Non-prompt payment of salaries.

Nonetheless, they are trying their bit. It's not just good enough.

I'll give their services 3 ???? due to lack of proper dissemination of information. The waiting time, as a result of lack of proper way of disseminating information, is nothing to write home about.

Regardless, they are making effective use of the little equipment within their reach.

Recommendation
1. Kindly provide patients with the needed and timely information upon arrival either via oral or written form. This, to some extent, will reduce the escalated waiting time.
2. Additional workers may be employed to enhance the process, thus leaving the patients with good expression on their faces.
