The Ekiti state teaching hospital is one of the teaching hospital in Nigeria where medical students and the students of the school of nursing and midwifery are been trained. They render medical services to people within the state and beyond. They also train resident doctors. They have qualified and well seasoned doctors of different specialization. They attend to referrals from primary health care facilities and secondary health care facilities. They also give referrals to cases beyond there control. medical hostel is located directly opposite to the medical students complex

EKSUTH as acronymically called is a State owned University Teaching Hospital which is located along the major Adebayo Road, Ado Ekiti.

It has recently been upgraded with modern look and facilities. Kudos to the Gov. Kayode Fayemi led administration that has been very concerned about improving quality Health care in the State.

Ekiti state university teaching hospital was opened as a hospital on Tuesday 9th of March 1971 by the then Military Governor of old Western region, Col R A Adebayo

It later became a state hospital years later before finally trasformed as a teaching hospital to train Medical students of Ekiti state university in the year 2009.

It is pertinent to state that the first Medical students of the institution graduated in the year 2019 due to prolonged delay in the accreditation exercise from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and the National University Commission respectively.

The teaching hospital consists of different wards and departments such as : Accident and Emergency, Outpatients ward, O P D, Medical laboratories, Maternities, Children emergency, Male and Female surgical wards, Male and Female medical wards, Psychiatric wards Students hostels, Radiology and Dialysis center e t c.

And the workers are always on duty for their responsibility.

I was at the hospital based on emergency,yea I was really impressed with the way they handled my case based on delivery issues,thank God for the doctors who attended to me but what I noticed was if those doctors are not around no doctor Will come to check which is very bad everyone now has their own patient which is appalling...No 2. Is their nurses there ( I mean at the surgical ward ,they need to be highly trained,if they don't make noises, they will receive phone calls,and even they will shout at the patients,imagine someone who did surgery was told to clean herself,pls where do they expect the strength to come from? Have heard about their attitude but I actually experienced it today and I'm not impressed at all.today is my third day,no doctors has attended to me ,,,,pls is it because I was referred?
