When I saw the picture on the Internet, it was much beautiful than what I encountered. It is an old otwl that need some renovation from the inside. Outside looks OK, but inside will do with some renovation. I love the concept of having pictures of legends around the hallway. When I came in, I was hit by strong stench of tobacco from the Reception area, meanwhile all the doors have bold stickers stating 'No Smoking ????'. So I see that enforcement is near zero.
So in terms of value for money, I will rate it a 5 out of 10.

Not a dream come true. Bed sheet had stains, chairs were defective, room service was abysmally poor. It took calling 3times and almost a whole hour to be able to get hot water for tea. Had to check out earlier

Good hospitality from the crew. Conductive environment with 24hrs power supply unlike a particular hotel in Abuja with less 6hrs power supply daily.

One thing I liked was the sincere way the staff did their work. No one was looking at you for tips for doing their work and they genuine helped. Another plus thing is that the appliances do work((heater, Ac, Fridge)

The room doesn't quite live up to the amount. Old furniture, old bedding, old towels, rusted doors and taps, heavy ancient looking curtains + plus nothing was 100% clean.

They need to renovate and add modern tools to the place. It's giving 15k room vibe as against 22/25k that it is.

The bar and kitchen staff overcharged us for food and drinks more than twice within a space of 2 hours. She kept forcing us to get certain things from the menu instead of the drinks we actually wanted to get.

Made an online booking reservation for a room at N12000 with a receipt but on arrival at the hotel, was told the rates is N22000.
Any one going to this place should call first to confirm the rates. The difference from the hotel desk rates and online rates looks more like fraud and a way to lure customer in, putting them in a position to accept the huge difference having made the trip down. It's N22000 for cheapest deluxe room and not N12000 as advertised online. Please take note!
Do not book online to avoid the trap!
Call the hotel and confirm the room rates.

Rooms are overpriced. Its an old hotel with poor maintenance.
