Cafe Chocolat is a cafe in Wuse 2 which offers all kinds of baked goods like glazed doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies and muffins. I visited this cafe with my sister to have some brunch.

So what do U think:
ENVIRONMENT
The cafe is bright, warm and cozy with wooden cushioned chairs. What we love about this place is its cozy den for book lovers paired with a book shelf. It is also decorated with cute coffee quotes and art. This place is great for working, studying, business meetings, breakfast, brunch and even dessert. There's also free Wifi here. It is also quiet and clean.

SERVICE
The staff here are very courteous and polite. We have occasionally run into the manager a few times and she has always been kind and welcoming. Food takes about 5 - 30 minutes depending on what you order. Our French Toast took 30 minutes while the waffles took 20 minutes.

FOOD
My sister and I have their tried delcious cake slices (their red velvet with cream cheese frosting is amazing) and doughnuts (a bit partial to their peanut butter glazed) from this place so we opted for their breakfast food: French Toast and Waffles u0026 Chicken with White Hot Cocoa and a Caramel Latte. Everything tasted absolutely delicious. The Toast was fluffy, sweet and served with fresh fruits and syrup. The toast was a bit burnt and had a somewhat smoky flavour which we liked. The Waffles paired nicely with the mildly flavoured chicken and caramel sauce. The Latte tasted as expected however the white hot cocoa was far too milky.

PRICING
The toast cost 3000, the waffles cost 4000, the latte cost 1500 and the hot cocoa cost 800 naira. A cake slice here is about 600 naira. Also you pay VAT and service charges.

FUN FACT
Attempt their breakfast food with an empty stomach.

I had the full english breakfast and it was amazing!
I could barely move when I was done.
The portions are really great and you WILL very likely be full when you're done eating.
The ambience was really calm as well. I think they have a proper food restaurant on top, but I did not check. The staff were also nice and the wait time was very short, which I really appreciated.
Also note that the cost for the Full English breakfast is now #4,950 against the previous price of #4,500.

I am happy to have come across Cafe Chocolat Et Patissierie @cafechocolatabuja at 3b Cairo Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja. You can easily spot the cafe from afar as the name is beautifully inscribed on the window outside. You know the "feeling" that comes with a beautiful ambience; that is how I felt when I saw the ambience of the cafe and my mood brightened up immediately. For me; after food, ambience is everything

The interior design and sitting arrangement has a modern contemporary feel. The arrangement of the fittings and furniture gives it a comfy and classy look.  A fortune must have been spent on making this place because the warmth, décor, coziness and serenity is indescribable...

One of the quotes on the wall which struck me is "Life happens coffee helps" this particular quote, I can relate to as coffee has helped me relieve stress a number of times, I get to forget my troubles with just a sip of coffee... I heard some people come here for their book review meetings, I won't even doubt it because this Cafe has the best atmosphere for meetings and book clubs

Their customer service is really mind blowing the way they interact with their customers is second to none.  This reminds me of Chichi (one of their customer officers) who was kind enough to join me on my table and we had an intellectual discussion that got me ordering different meals on their menu. As a lover of tea "sometimes" I had mint tea, mocha tea and ice tea with strawberry cake (this has got to be the most sumptuous cake I've ever tasted in recent time, it had just the right amount of ingredients, and the taste was perfect).

We then invited Uche (a friend of the house) to come taste the lemon cake and join us for #woyesmealtime. We had different types of cakes; red velvet, lemon, chocolate etc... Trust me they leave you craving for more. You can even order your birthday cakes, wedding cakes or any cake flavour if you just want to eat cake! This Cafe is your go to when you want to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Did I mention that the name of the main Restaurant is Crossover Restaurant and Cafe Chocolat is a subsidiary? (My bad) Crossover Restaurant is a continental and African restaurant. The restaurant is upstairs while the Cafe is downstairs, so we decided to take the conversation and review upstairs.

Uche ate Pasta Alfredo and I creaser’s salad (sometimes, I eat healthy), Uche was almost licking the plate, their food is so nice and affordable. At Crossover Restaurant, they serve breakfast, buffet on special days and their dessert is to die for. They serve appetizers such as chicken pepper soup Apple celery slaw, puff puff with mince meat and pepper jam. Their main dishes includes basmati rice in roasted bell, pepper pesto herbs and chillies, coconut rice and peas with dry fish and thyme, sweet and sour chicken sauce with pineapple and local tomatoes, beef and yam casseroles, moi moi in banana leaves,Egusi and poundo!! And they serve desserts like; fruits with seasonal veggies and honey, peanut butter mousse pots, banana and chocolate sponge cakes!

I can categorically tell you that you cannot and will not regret anything you order from Cafe Chocolat and Crossover Restaurant. I had a blast and got to take my goons to have a taste of good food, they are in the comment section testifying. I will be visiting again soon and I might be going with you...who knows

Cafe Chocolat I RECOMMEND

It’s a cozy cafe, I had the bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, the milkshake, the blueberry muffin and the red velvet cookie. The BLT sandwich hit the right spot, the milkshake wasn’t all that. I had them put one in a to go cup and the cover didn’t match, it looked tacky. They put the muffin in a foil wrap till I complained then they switched to a box. The red velvet cookie was great, I loved the wall arts but I personally feel they are in need of renovation. The service was great. And it comes with free WiFi. Prices are very affordable. It’s definitely a place to check.

My go-to place for snacks during lunch break at work. Okay, I've never been to this location to eat-in. But I always order and I can say that their cake slices are the best I've had in Abuja.

Very moist, comes in one piece. Lol, at least the delivery guy doesn't smudge it before it gets to me.

The prices are reasonable. Cake slices as of late last year were about N800 per slice. Currently, you can get a slice for N1000 and you must order more than one. ???? still fair.

Nice food, like in the name it has a cafe vibe ... breakfast food, lots of cake slices and cookies, milkshakes and coffee, that sort of thing. Enjoyable.
