Exactly one month ago (on Valentines Day), I stopped by Puzzles for Lunch.

The ambience was nice; they designed the whole place for the festivities in the evening. I struggled a bit with the AC though - it wasn’t cooling properly which made the place a bit stuffy. On the other hand, The waiter (Angela) was literally the best! Her service was top notch, her personality and jokes made to forget the more than one hour wait time. I really really enjoyed her service!

We ordered the Beijing Noodles (2800), Puzzle Instanbul (3800), Chili Chicken Wings (2600) and Plantain (1000). I enjoyed the Beijing noodles so much. The portion was ridiculously large, the chicken was flavored WELL and was plentiful, the veggies were cooked right. Overall the dish came together perfectly and was worth the wait. The rice (puzzle instanbul) was awesome too. I loved the size of the prawns and the taste. Some restaurants can get miserly when it comes to prawns NOT puzzles; the prawns were a lot! Gosh, thinking about the rice, I want to g o back for it - IT was that GOOD. My only concern was with the wings. It was juicy (how I like it) but the it was a bit difficult to eat and the taste was a bit off ???? but that didn’t scar my experience so much.

Overall, GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE and GREAT EXPERIENCE at Puzzles.

Puzzles is a cozy bar with seating areas on the ground floor of the building, upstairs outside and in an air-conditioned VIP room. Prices are fair, the food is tasty and freshly prepared without taking too long. The bar is a bit small, so I wouldn't come here with a group bigger than 4-5 people, plus there's only one toilet upstairs - which can be annoying if you have to wait a while. All in all it's a nice place to chill

I had their Beijing noodles(it cost 2,600) it was heavenly!. I went in the morning so it was calm and kinda empty. You can work here, soft music at the background, the ambiance was lovely. The place is cozy.
So I had a phone call, I moved away from my date for a bit to take the call, I landed on their swing chair, I was literally chased away from it because apparently to sit there you have to spend upto 20k, fam! I had spent 11,200!. That was an embarrassing experience that almost spoilt the entire vibe for me. Asides from that I would recommend the spot

Never knew a place this lovely existed. You should come here. There food is amazing too and the staff is cordial.

They probably have the best dj you will ever meet. I loved it here greatly.

Nice food and drinks. I like the singing birds. The scenery and relaxed quiet atmosphere when at the top sipping your drink with a loved one beside you is uniting and unique. Packaging for take away is so beautiful and innovative.

Beautiful
A little intense for a Sunday evening but their food is dope. Sure warrants a repeat.

This is an update to my previous review. It's been months since I last visited here until last night. And I'm giving a 1 star from the previous 3 I gave. The service and food were atrocious. It took 1hour 20minutes for the shawarma to get ready, even though I was told 15 minutes. Now, that has to be a world record. The shawarma was terrible. Just a lot of cabbage, a piece of sausage and cream wrapped haphazardly in a rumpled foil sheet. The fried yam was even worse - dry, cold and hard, so much so that it could not be eaten. I did complain to the attendants who could only offer an apology. The chicken was also poorly spiced and fried. For a place charging four thousand naira (4, 000) and 4, 500 for the cocktails we had with an equally high cost for food, the least that should be done is offering a good dining experience. Total rip-off! This was a "disasterclass" and money flushed down the drain. Will never recommend.

For a noisy and busy place like Gwarinpa, Puzzles helps you get away from all of that. The ambience is welcoming with different sections - a bar with different shades of seats including one made out of a "keke napep", an inner lounge with lovely sofa and a well lit outer part with a swing: perfect for pictures. Food is good, service is great and there's even a game console. You can get a reservation for the inner lounge. The downside for me is the pricing of their cocktail. At an average price of 3k naira that ranks at the top percentile of expensive cocktails in Abuja and the glasses they come in are small, very small. The other downside is that there's only one restroom for everyone. Thankfully there wasn't a queue when I needed to use it
