It’s such a must-visit. From tapestry to lighting, seating to colors.... Marrakech is such a vivid place to be. The restaurant makes me want to visit Morocco.
It’s a Moroccan restaurant with a few Turkish dishes on its menu, our chief host Malik said. Sorry he works there but was so solicitous that it seem like we were actually visiting some pleasant dignitary ????.
A little annoying to find cos google maps kept directing us a little further away and the restaurant’s sign isn’t very discernible from the road unlike all the other signs around it. That said, let me rate
Food: ✅ the fusion of spices was such a thrill. With each dish, I felt like Alice in a very pleasant Wonderland. We had the a medley of dishes. Chicken spring rolls, beef samosas and chicken wings as a starter and then a Lamb Tagine, Mandi rice, Grilled lamb, Grilled Fish fillet, Grilled chicken skewer, Mixed Grill, Fattoush Salad, and the Chef’s weekly special which was a lamb sausage frittata. Each dish was a very interesting journey. We each loved different dishes but for thrill effect, my fave would be the fattoush salad with its notes of parsley, mint, lemon juice and nicely cubed veggies
Pricing: ✅ At an average of 3,500 per dish, Marrakech isn’t placing itself out of the market. It’s easy peas for those who can and a ‘lemme plan for that’ for most of us workers. Well worth the money
Ambience: ✅ if you’re a selfie person, do not go there! Your food will get cold while you run around for shots. It’s a beautiful beautiful place
Customer service: ⁉️this I had a bit of an issue with. Pleasant but one waitress kept mixing up our fresh fruit juice orders and totally forgot one of our dishes.
Overall experience? I’d do it again in a heartbeat ????????
