Iya Oyo Amala has the best Amala i have eaten in Abuja so far.

The food is quite affordable. Their portion of Amala is 200naira. The portion is really small but they use quality yam flour, so the price is justifiable.

If you are in a rush, i will advice not to go there because the queue can be so exhausting. The place is mostly congested, reason i always do take out.

They have a decent parking space that could accommodate cars. The environment is really spacious and neat. It is Wheelchair accessible.

Overall, the Amala is good. The goodness will make you overlook the queue. Enjoy!

If you enjoy local local then this is the place for you.
You have to line up, pick your stainless bowls and order, even point at the protein you want.
Everything is just everywhere, no effort at aesthetics, just a hut.

They don't claim to be something they are not. Very traditional restaurant. Native meals made in a traditional setting. The dining table setting also applies the same theme. Meals have either the homely taste or the party taste. Major qualms is that they are a cash only outlet. They do not have a POS and neither do they accept transfers. Customers must come with cash.

Great place for food. I enjoyed the amala and reedy with gbegiri… if you want to go back to the old ways that’s it and you can dine in as well as take away. Although they have cash only policy. No POS and no transfer. You can choose to stay indoors or outdoor. There is a bridge across a small canal for water.

I am not an Amala person but got it with okra and goat meat.....it was very good. 3 amala scoops is good for one person. Def a spot to check out and worth the hype. Don't got there looking for an asteicially pleasing place, it's like a tent and table and chairs.
